02

What you get

A facilitator

Briefs your group, runs the climb and leads the debrief.

One to ten teams

At the same time, in a room or online.

The same conditions

Every team gets the same weather, illness and events on Everest, so results can be compared fairly.

A debrief for each team

Plus a summary of patterns across the whole group.

Your choice of naming

The debrief can show names, roles only, or no one.

A note for the sponsor

A short note on what the group saw and committed to.

03

How a two-hour session runs

  1. 115 minBriefing

Roles, the one rule, how a day works, and a look at the screen.

  2. 260 minThe climb

Packing, then eight days. Each team makes its own decisions.

  3. 325 minDebrief in teams

Each team reads its own report with the facilitator's questions.

  4. 420 minAll together

Patterns across teams, and one commitment each.

A team that has played before can do it in 90 minutes. The facilitator guide shows both plans.

04

Where it fits

Leadership offsite

A shared experience on day one that the rest of the offsite can refer to.

Leadership program

A session on decision-making, speaking up or team trust, for new managers up to senior leaders.

New or merged team

A fast way to see how a new group shares, decides and listens.

Project kickoff

Agree your own rules for sharing information and raising concerns before the work starts.

05

Good to know

A new game

Leading Everest is new. We are running first sessions with a small number of teams, and we say so openly.

Our own work

Leading Everest was designed, written and built by Learning Everest. Its rules, roles, text and numbers are original. It is not connected with, or taken from, any other Everest simulation.

For development only

Leading Everest is for learning and development only. Nothing in it is meant for appraisal, selection or any other decision about a person.

Your data

Players need no account and can use nicknames. Only the person who opens a room or a session signs in. Everything is deleted after 30 days. Read how data is handled.

What it measures

Six competencies, mapped to Korn Ferry, SHL, SHRM, CIPD and the World Economic Forum skills, with the research behind them: read the page.

You can play the free demo right now: the first 2 days of the climb, with computer teammates.
